wedding planning WOW
Wow what did we get ourselves into! When I asked Christina to marry me I had no idea it was going to be this complicated!!!! You have to find the place to get married then the caterer (luckily the place and the caterer are one shooting match) You have to find a photographer, a dj, someone to play music during the ceremony, create play lists for those people, taste cake!, make a menu, send out save the dates, send out invitations, figure out favors for the wedding, figure out hotel room warming sets, arrange transport to and from the wedding reception, pick flowers come up with a scheme, pick clothes, brides maids/grooms men, get gifts for them, gifts for our parents, engagement photos (what this is for I still have no idea), do the pre cana find a priest. Wow flying to some tropical place and getting married on the beach seems way more attractive to me! ha ha ha but I have realized the "wedding" really isn't about Christina or I its about family and friends and giving them the gift of celebrating the union of our two souls into one. God gave us this gift and we are in turn sharing with our loved ones. It also takes a lot of support from family and friends and community to make a marriage work and thrive. This is a little advance thank you for all they will provide in encouragement and support to us in this grand adventure that we are just beginning. A lot of people say the actual wedding day is sort of anti climactic. I'm not so excited about the celebration so I don't think it will be anit climactic for me. I'm really excited to call Christina "wife" That seems really amazing and wonderful to me!
